Disc 1

Rage At Dawn
Forrest Tucker, Randolph Scott (1955)
"Rage at Dawn" is an interesting, but not particularly classic western. What makes it stand apart from most is the intorduction of espionage. Sturdy as ever, Scott is a "Peterson" man, an obvious allusion to the famous Pinkerton Detective Agency. He must infiltrate a gang of murderous outlaw brothers and trick them into causing their own downfall. Their beautiful sister, a non-crook, and Scott naturally hit it off. Familiar faces? How about a clean-shaven Denver Pyle?

One-Eyed Jacks
Marlon Brando, Karl Malden (1961)
This 1961 Western is Marlon Brando's only directorial effort. It is the Old West of 1880 and Brando stars as Kid Rio, who along with his partner, Dad Longworth (Karl Malden) are bank robbers who are caught holding up a Mexican bank.

They Call Me Trinity
Terence Hill, Bud Spencer (1971)
A droll and delightful Western spoof loosely based on "The Magnificent Seven." Terence Hill and Bud Spencer are ne'er-do-well half-brothers who must use their questionable gun-slinging skills to protect a settlement from an evil land baron.

The Shooting
Jack Nicholson (1967)
Full of mystery and revenge, The Shooting tells the story of a miner (Warren Oates) who has just returned to camp to find one of his partners dead and his brother missing. Along the way, they meet up with her hired gunslinger (Jack Nicholson) and it becomes clear that they are out of revenge and his brother is the target.
