Like its sister shows, The Beverly Hillbillies and Green Acres, Petticoat Junction features the hilarious adventures, and misadventures of the rural residents of Hooterville, a farm community on the C.&F.W. Cannonball Railroad line, and follows the Bradley clan who run the Shady Rest Hotel just outside of town. Kate Bradley (Bea Benadaret) and her three beautiful daughters Betty Jo (Linda Kaye Henning), Billie Jo (Jeannine Riley) and Bobbie Jo (Pat Woodell) run the Shady Rest, along with the girls' uncle Joe (Edgar Buchanan). Smiley Burnette and Rufe Davis play the conductor and engineer of The Cannonball, who sometimes use the steam-driven train like a personal taxi service for the folks who live on the line. In addition to the colorful denizens of Hooterville, folks drop in from time to time, including appearances by Adam West and Dennis Hopper! A true slice of Americana, Petticoat Junction is great entertainment for the whole family!
