Disc 1

England

Five Fine Lines
The Southern England counties of Kent and East Sussex feature five fascinating restored railways. Our Railway Adventure features The Lavender Line, which has a popular Wine & Dine Train and the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, which is the world's only miniature mainline railway.

Next Stop: The English Riviera
England's Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railway, known as the Holiday Line, steams to the Southeastern part of the country at Tor Bay, on the English Channel. This railway Adventure is from the picturesque fishing port of Dartmouth to the tropical seaside resort of Paignton.

Adventures Across Time
England's Severn Valley Railway crosses through towns that date from Medieval and Saxon times. This historic steam train follows a sixteen-mile route in the heart of England's South Midlands from the Industrial Revolution town of Kidderminster to the Saxon town of Bridgnorth.

England's Historic Midlands
England's Great Central Railway, Golden Valley Light Railway and Battlefield Railway takes us across the heartland of the industrial age. Our Railway Adventure highlights include the Midland Railway Museum and a Train that costs only one penny to ride.

The Conquering Rails
The Southwest England coast is served by a variety of British Rail mainline and historic steam railways. This Railway Adventure includes William the Conquerer's Rougemont Castle at Exeter and the Mayflower Steps in Plymouth commemorating the Pilgrim fathers.

Through The Dales
England's Settle-Carlisle Railway provides steam travel through some of Britain's most renowned lands of legend and lore. Beginning in the market town of Settle, our Railway Adventure include Pendragon Castle, birthplace of King Arthur and a visit to the grave of the Dent vampire.

Disc 2

England & Wales

In The Beginning
In England's Midlands is the Foxtrot Railway, the country's steepest adhesion line; Bowes Railway, which is the world's last rope-hauled railway; and the Midlands Railway, one of the world's first railways; take us in to the very heart of the country.

Tracks To Moors
Traveling on England's North Yorkshire Moors Railway, we visit a famous whaling town on the northeast coast as we travel across the Moors. We depart Whitby, captain Cook's home port, and steam toward Pickering, visiting William the Conquerer's castle and quaint English villages along the way.

Heading South
British Rail and the Bodmin and Wenford Railway take up along the spectacular Southwest English coast. Our Railway Adventure begins in the famed port town of Plymouth on the English Channel and travels to Lands End at Penzance.

Birthplace Of Preservation
In Wales, we ride the Snowdon Mountain Railway; the Talyllyn Railway, and the Vale of Rheidol Railway. Highlights include a 25 ton locomotive on tracks less than two feet wide and railway cuts built when manpower was cheaper than gunpowder.

Wild, Wild Wales
British Rail and several steam train excursions in Wales explore the slate industry, a Welsh Xanadu, a freedom fighter and the Cob. This Railway Adventure travels from the barren landscape of Blaenau Ffestiniog to Aberystwyth and Devil's Bridge.

Proud & Preserved
In Wales, four beautifully restored railways take us into an area of the county known as the birthplace of Railway Preservation. Our Railway Adventure take us to Snowdonia National Park beneath Mount Snowdon and long Lake Bala, the largest natural lake in Wales.

Disc 3

Switzerland

Cogging The Alps
Switzerland's electrified Brunig Railway follows a route so steep that rack and pinion traction is needed to climb up and down the mountains. The 45 mile trip in the heart of Switzerland travels from the medieval city of Luzern to Interlaken.

Ice-Station
Europe's Highest Railway

Switzerland's Railway of the Jungfrau Region provide a surprisingly easy way to explore this rugged land of permanent ice and snow. From Interlaken, the Jung-Frau-Bahn climbs to Jungfraujoch, the highest railway station in Europe.

Over The Top
Switzerland's Bernina Railway takes us from St. Moritz, a ski resort of the rich and famous, over the top of the Bernina Pass to Campocologno on the border of Italy. The railway was part of an unfulfilled plan to link Austria, through Switzerland, to Italy.

Power To The Peaks
Switzerland's Luzern-Stans-Engelberg Railway, known as the LSE, powers its way through the alps. Our Railway Adventure begins in Luzern and takes us to Engelberg, a popular ski resort. Highlights include magnificent scenery and a ride up a mountain grade so steep, passengers are unbalde to stand.

Land Of Alpine Adventure
Switzerland's Rhaetische Bahn Railway, the RhB, takes us on two different routes to St. Moritz, playground of the rich and famous. Our first Railway Adventure is from Disentis; our second is from Chur. Both routes feature magnificent alpine scenery.

Rails Over Rigi
Switzerland's Vitznau-Rigi Railway from Luzern to Vitznau, and Arth-Rigi Railway from Luzern to Arth-Goldau provide two separate trips up magnificent Rigi Mountain. OUr Railway Adventures include a town that inspired Mark Twain and paragliding off the cliff of a 5,00 foot alp.
